Bio:

Annette grew up in Niagara Falls, New York and attended Ithaca College, where she graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy.  She moved to Raleigh, North Carolina from north western Pennsylvania where she gathered the majority of her clinical experience and continuing education.  Annette has participated in pediatric specialty courses including the Neurodevelopmental Treatment Approach (NDT) with focus on neuromuscular re-education and postural control, Myofascial Release, Motor Learning Strategies, Sensory Integration for gross motor development, lower extremity and spinal orthotics management, dynamic balance training, progressive gait training, and bilateral gross motor coordination training.  She has worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a variety of pediatric are settings including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation centers, outpatient clinics, early intervention with provision of services to home, daycare, and preschool environments, and home based therapy.

Annette has helped meet the needs of children and families overcoming challenges from a variety of medical and developmental diagnoses including neuromuscular impairments, postural deviations, balance and gait deviations, and delayed gross motor coordination. She has experience with individualized medical equipment evaluation including manual and power wheelchairs, activity chairs, bathroom equipment, mechanical lift devices, supportive standing equipment, gait training devices, and adaptive tricycles.  Annette enjoys a child/ family centered therapeutic approach.  She works hard to address the individual goals and priorities of each family, while assisting children develop to their full potential in a fun and creative way.  Patient/ family education is emphasized on an ongoing basis with recommendations for equipment and activities at home, at school, and in the community.
