Speech-Language Pathologist
Brittany graduated from Binghamton University of Binghamton, New York with a B.A. in Psychology. She then received her M.S. in Speech-Language and Auditory Pathology from East Carolina University of Greenville, North Carolina. Brittany has gained experience through several different settings including private practice, home health, daycares, hospitals and clinics. She has clinical experience with both pediatric and adult populations but prefers to work with children with special needs. Brittany's experience with the adult population includes Aphasia, Apraxia, Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson Disease, Dementia, Dysarthria, Passy-Muir Valve, Dysphagia, Tracheostomy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Hearing Impairment and Cochlear Implant. Her experience with the pediatric population includes Apraxia, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorder, Cleft Palate, Hearing Impairment, Cochlear Implant, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and Pediatric feeding. She also has training in basic sign language and the Picture Exchange Communication System. Brittany has a particular interest in working with children with cerebral palsy and developmental disorders. She feels that children are able to reach their maximum potential when learning occurs in a natural environment and through carryover with parents and caregivers.
