Bio:

Ashley grew up in Durham, North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a Minor in Spanish for the Medical Professions.  She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Methodist University in 2019. Since beginning her practice, Ashley has worked in pediatrics in the orthopedic outpatient setting, inpatient pediatric setting, and general pediatrics setting.  Ashley has participated in pediatric specialty courses including Gait Analysis and Equipment Selection, Patellofemoral Syndrome, and Toe Walking.  She has had the opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, biomechanists, and athletic trainers to create individualized care plans based off analysis of gait using EMG and force place data as well as providing serial casting for children with tight heel cords. Ashley has also had experience with the treatment of premature infants and medically complex children in the hospital setting. Ashley enjoys making family-centered goals to allow each child to perform to their maximum capabilities. Ashley lives in Durham, NC with her husband and dog and enjoys traveling, reading, and hiking when not working as a pediatric PT.
