Bio:

Kendall is a Raleigh, NC native and has always had a passion for working with children and their families. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015 with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She received her M.S. degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at East Carolina University in 2017. Across a variety of settings including home, daycare, Head Start, private clinic, and university clinic, Kendall has gained experience treating children with a variety of communication delays and disorders. Her areas of experience include early intervention, receptive/expressive language delay, autism, genetic disorders, developmental delays, articulation and phonological delays, apraxia of speech, low and high tech alternative and augmentative communication systems, and working with Spanish-speaking/bilingual families. Kendall believes that therapy is most effective when the child, caregiver, and therapist work collaboratively and are all active participants in reaching the child’s communication goals.

Kendall es nativa de Raleigh, Carolina del Norte y siempre ha tenido una pasión por trabajar con niños y sus familias. Se graduó de la Universidad de Carolina del Norte en Chapel Hill en el 2015 con una licenciatura en literatura en inglés y una licenciatura en ciencias del habla y audición. Ella recibió su maestría en ciencias de la comunicación y trastornos en East Carolina University en el 2017. Kendall ha adquirido experiencia en el tratamiento de niños con diversos retrasos y trastornos de la comunicación en una variedad de entornos, como el hogar, la guardería, Head Start, la clínica privada y la clínica universitaria.  Sus áreas de experiencia incluyen intervención temprana, retraso del lenguaje receptivo/expresivo, autismo, trastornos genéticos, retrasos en el desarrollo, retrasos en la articulación y fonología, apraxia del habla, sistemas de comunicación aumentativa y alternativa de baja y alta tecnología, y trabajo con familias hispanohablantes/bilingües. Kendall cree que la terapia es más efectiva cuando el niño, el cuidador y la terapeuta trabajan en colaboración y todos son participantes activos para alcanzar los objetivos de comunicación del niño.
