Bio: 

Melia is a native North Carolinian and is originally from Wilkesboro, NC. She graduated from Appalachian State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2019. She received her Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from Wingate University in 2022. Melia has experience in a variety of settings including sensory integration, pediatric feeding, public and community schools, adaptive equipment, wheelchair seating and positioning, and home health environment. She has a passion for creating treatment sessions that are client-centered and provide children with the opportunity to grow their skills in the most functional and meaningful way for them. Melia is to new Raleigh and is excited to meet new people and explore new places, she enjoys spending time hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and is always excited to take on a new hobby!
