Speech and Language therapy focuses on the client’s overall communication skills. This includes the development of receptive (how well the client understands language) and expressive (how the client uses language) communication skills, pragmatics (social language), oral motor function, articulation, speech intelligibility, literacy skills, and feeding/swallowing skills.
