Bio:
Cindy has called Raleigh, NC home since 2007. She graduated from Radford University in Radford, Virginia with a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Psychology. Cindy also received her M.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Radford University. While in graduate school she worked in the Radford University Autism Clinic. She was also a camp counselor to children with Autism for RiteCare Summer Camp through a program provided by the Scottish Rite Masons. She has extensive experience performing diagnostic services along with skilled, individualized speech and language therapy in a private practice setting for children needing early intervention (ages1-5) and those at the school aged level (6-18). She has provided services in a variety of different settings including the home or daycare/educational setting, as well as office visits. She has serviced clients with the following disorders/delays: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorder, Developmental Delays, Fluency Disorders, Language Disorders, Articulation/Phonological Disorders, Hearing Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Apraxia and Cognitive Impairments. In addition, she has received specialized training in Autism Spectrum Disorders Articulation/Phonology Disorders, Early Childhood Intervention, Language Disorders, Sign Language, Pediatric Language Disorders. Through her educational and professional experience, Cindy has developed a passion for working with children with Autism. She collaborates with family members, teachers, and other disciplines to set individual goals and to aid the child in achieving his/her goals as well as providing carryover programs when necessary. Cindy is dedicated to improving the lives of others through communication and language. She is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
